Senior Procurement Officer at Sayed Farms Limited

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement processes from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases.
• Analyze procurement needs and develop purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Manage supplier performance, contracts, and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
• Understand and maintain knowledge of FMCG, and develop and implement strategies to ensure cost effective supply of services to meet the company’s procurement plan
• Develop procurement plans to ensure goods (machine and automobile spare parts, raw materials and others) are secure at appropriate times.
• Work closely with departmental heads in developing procurement plans
• Monitor market trends and conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for savings.
• Prepare procurement reports, KPIs, and documentation for audits and management reviews.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in general procurement, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating and contract management of high value and high-risk
• Knowledge of suppliers, markets, trends of company’s machine and automobile spare parts, raw materials and others.
• Experience in applying efficient procurement processes, structures and analytical tools
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Familiarity with contract law and risk management practices is a plus.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
