    Senior Presales Engineer - Data Centre

    Our client, a reputable company in the IT Industry is seeking a competent and qualified professional to fill the position of Senior Presales Engineer - Data Center.

    Job Description
    The Senior Data Center Solutions Presales Engineer will act as a key driver in leading customer engagements to design their private and hybrid cloud Datacenter solutions using servers, storage, virtualization, orchestration, high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery systems. The presales engineer will collaborate with our customers to define infrastructure journey maps, technology adoption plans, and long-term strategy. You will have the opportunity to execute a solutions selling methodology while fulfilling requests for services/solutions proposals from customers and Business Development team.
    The individual must have a verifiable track record of success architecting IT solutions, proven ability to build trusted partner relationships with customers, and proven ability to lead and execute consultative architecture engagements.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide presales expertise on vendor solutions to the companies’ new and existing customers
    • Identify customer technology goals and align solutions for success
    • Identify areas of opportunity within the customer base
    • Increase customer loyalty through effective communications, professionalism, and going above and beyond the customer’s expectations
    • Generate bills of materials, statements of work, proposals, and RFP responses to customers
    • Participate in the preparation of sales campaigns, business plans, and technology sessions for prospects
    • Stay informed about new services, technologies, and other information that may be of interest to clients
    • Provide market intelligence to the management staff and participate in the development of future solution strategies
    • Participate with OEM vendors and SE teams on product roadmaps and strategy
    • Continue to stay current in all aspects of the solutions within your area of expertise
    • Maintain existing vendor certifications and continue to grow technical skill set

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Datacenter Solutions
    • Experience with SAN, Backup, and Disaster Recovery technologies
    • Experience with server platforms from Cisco, Dell, or HP
    • Experience with public cloud solutions, such as Microsoft, Amazon/AWS
    • Must have the ability to analyze existing and anticipated client requirements and promote consideration of companies’ solutions and services to meet the client’s requirements
    • Must have excellent communication, documentation, and customer facing skills
    • A desire to learn other manufacturer technologies and skills
    • Professional level certifications from DellEMC, VMware, Cisco and any other relevant DC OEMs.
