Senior PHP Developer at Decagon

About the Job

• Decagon is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to develop ideas, strategize concepts and extend the company’s skill base in emerging technologies.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• Integrating data storage solutions.
• Able to translate UIs into markup languages. HTML & CSS.
• Finalizing back-end features and testing web applications.
• Updating and altering application features to enhance performance

Skills / Requirements

• At least 5 years experience as a hands-on developer in a senior developer role.
• Experience in the practical application of a range of software development methodologies.
• Excellent PHP7 & Javascript.
• Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Previous experience creating scalable applications.
• Proficient with code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, CVS, and SVN.
• Excellent MVC web applications experience.
• Strong Enterprise Architecture experience.
• A thorough, broad, innovative knowledge and understanding of the internet and emerging technologies and standards.
• Attention to detail and being able to work with deadlines.
• Confidence to present ideas to both colleagues and clients.
• Ability to work on several projects at one time and manage workflow.
• Documenting functional and non-functional technical requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with latest trends, innovations, cultures and new technical developments/changes within the industry.
