Senior Pharmacist at Alpha Pharma

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Pharmacist located in Lagos Island.
• The Senior Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert advice to healthcare providers and patients.
• Key responsibilities include managing inventory, maintaining the cold chain for temperature-sensitive products, supervising pharmacy staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• The Senior Pharmacist will also assist with maintaining accurate records, monitoring drug therapies, and ensuring the safe use of medications in alignment with best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in pharmaceutical preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and drug safety protocols
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills for monitoring drug efficacy and patient outcomes
• Ability to lead and manage teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Competence in the use of pharmacy management software
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D from a recognized institution
• Valid Pharmacist License (registered) from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN)
• 4+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, with demonstrable expertise
• Experience in critical care or working with rare ethical medicines is a plus.
