Senior Payables Officer at Sayed Farms Limited

Job Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process all supplier/vendor invoices.
• Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendors, farm contractors, and service providers.
• Maintain up-to-date accounts payable records and ensure proper documentation and filing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries professionally.
• Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports.
• Ensure proper withholding tax (WHT), VAT, and other statutory deductions are applied and remitted as required.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
• Collaborate with procurement, farm operations, and inventory teams to ensure invoice accuracy and budget alignment.
• Assist with month-end closing and journal entries related to payables.
• Carry out other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 6 – 8 years of relevant accounting / payable experience.
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN) is an added advantage or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent knowledge of posting accounting transactions
• Excellent use of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, and VLOOKUP,
