Senior MLops Engineer at Yassir

About the role

• Yassir, a leading super app in Africa, is seeking an experienced Senior MLOPS Engineer to join our team.
• As the Lead MLOPS Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the MLOps infrastructure for Yassir's machine learning projects.
• You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to ensure the successful delivery of high- quality AI models and their integration into our applications.

About your role as MLops Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain the MLOps infrastructure for Yassir's machine learning projects, including data pipelines, model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Collaborate with data scientists to implement machine learning algorithms and models
• Implement best practices for version control, testing, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models
• Automate and optimize the machine learning development process
• Manage and mentor a team of MLOps engineers
• Work closely with product managers and software engineers to integrate machine learning models into Yassir's applications
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and availability for machine learning projects
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning, MLOps, and cloud infrastructure technologies.

About your experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in MLOps, machine learning, or software engineering
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, frameworks, and tools (e.g.,TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras)
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience managing a team of engineers is a plus
