Senior Manager, Electrical (Packing Plant) at Dangote

The Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering for our Packing Plant. This senior leadership role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical systems within the packing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Electrical maintenance of packing plant equipment’s such as Rotary packers, Auto packing systems, smart MCCs, PCCs ,Transformers, Electrical Hoists and Electrical Brake Motors.

As the Senior Manager, you will lead the electrical team and spearhead initiatives for system improvements, uphold safety standards, and ensure that all electrical equipment operates at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing Electrical maintenance strategies
• Overseeing Electrical maintenance of packing plant equipment and facilities
• Planning and scheduling Electrical maintenance operations
• Ensuring adequate spares are available for maintenance
• Creating and implementing measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs
• Planning and overseeing repair and installation activities
• Monitoring inventory equipment and placing orders when necessary
• Enforcing health and safety rules and regulations 
• Developing short- and long-term maintenance programs for packing plant Equipment’s
• Evaluating the Persisting Problems and resolve permanently
• Ensuring critical production equipment are in good working condition
• Monitoring maintenance activities for efficiency and safety
• Overseeing technical staff and providing expertise Training as required
• Enforcing accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations 
• Trouble Shooting of Electrical Operation maintenance Challenges.
• Spares and Maintenance Planning for Shutdown Preparation for Auto Packing system and Rotary packers
• Should have Capability to take care of Line 1-5 Packing plants
• Should have Good Experience in Electrical maintenance of Roto packers, Auto packing Systems and smart MCCs, Electrical Hoists and Brake motors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the cement industry.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance management, and safety standards.
• Working knowledge of estimation software, Microsoft office and SAP
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with budgeting and resource management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, ISO 9001, and TPM.
• Capability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
