Senior IT Officer at Sayed Farms Limited

Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of computer systems, networks, and software and ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure.
• Security Management: Implement and monitor security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats and conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex IT issues and mentor and guide junior IT staff in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Project Management: Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new installations and collaborate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs.
• Policy Development: Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security and stay updated with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers and evaluate and negotiate contracts for IT services and products.
• Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and best practices and promote continuous learning and professional development within the IT team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 6 – 9 years of cognate experiences from manufacturing companies.
• Proven track record in IT support, administration, and management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize processes and drive cost savings.
• Certification in IT (e.g., CCNA etc.) will be an added advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
