JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the company’s  IT strategy and ensuring that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place

Focal point of contact on all IT related matters in the organization

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage information technology and computer systems
• Maintain company servers
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Scheduling upgrades
• Act in alignment with Bank needs and system functionality
• Manage IT projects
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in due time
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Writes chip initialization as per EMV & GSM standards
• Act as liaison with client on IT related issues
• Act as a key contact for all the software vendors
• Evaluate all new software required for smart cards
• Manage and provide direction for the timely resolution for all information security issues
• Select, manage and control external IT providers
• Will serve as a back up chief information security officer
• Produce weekly security activity report for the MD/CEO

KEY REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

• Good academic qualification from a reputable university with any of the following certifications CISA,CISM,CRISC,CGEIT,CISSP,ISO 27000 Lead Implementer/Auditor
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, and of computer hardware/software systems
• Well versed in trouble shooting, Firewalls and Servers
• Strong analytical and process improvement skills
• Good organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to engage and influence peers and subordinates
• Creative mind, ability to work under pressure and to multi-task
• Exceptionally hard working and flexible
• Previous experience, in a similar role, working with PCI-DSS or its equivalents
• Must have the mandatory NYSC certificate
