Senior Full Stack Engineer at BuyPower Nigeria

Job Description

• This role will work closely with a motivated team of designers, backend and frontend developers, so your communication skills will need to be up to the test too!

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and robust software applications using MERN Stack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software features
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely manner
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Continuously improve and optimize existing software applications
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the web development industry
• Participating in customer meetings and other forms of customer interactions to articulate long-term technology road map.
• Supporting the marketing team in building a large active community around the Company’s product (meetups, hackathons, industry conferences, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Full Stack development using MERN Stack
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with Express.js, Redux, GraphQL, and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, web sockets, and asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
