Qualifications

• • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Membership of professional organizations/ associations and/or certifications will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification relevant experience
  • Previous experience in a reputable software development and consulting company
  • Demonstrable achievements in landmark projects

• Skills / Competence Requirements

  • Deep expertise in various open-source framework and other development tools - JavaScript, C/C++, DotNet, Java etc.
  • Extensive experience developing solutions for web across various operating systems, databases and platforms
  • Deep expertise developing and deploying solutions in MS Azure Platform
  • Experience with other various open-source framework and development tools – Angular, React, Flutter etc. is an advantage.
  • Ability to bring ideas and design solutions to life through the system development process
  • Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently
  • Working knowledge of any/some of the following is an added advantage:
    • Analytics
    • Machine Learning and artificial intelligence

• • Apply a variety of systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance of software based on defined frameworks and methodologies with the purpose of improving reliability and maintainability
  • Work with product owners to interpret feature and functionality requests and develop software in iterative design/build/test cycles using an Agile development process.
  • Drawing on components from open-source framework and other development tools and frameworks; build, test and deploy software components and solutions
  • Regularly check code into a continuous integration pipeline based on appropriate methodology to incrementally build the overall system and get immediate feedback on build performance
  • Proactively seeks and recommend improvement opportunities to internal team processes, frameworks and standards.
  • Support the lead in defining solution architecture including database structures and entity relationships, technical use cases, develop roadmap and release plan
  • Proactively support the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging/ troubleshooting of applications and set goals for supervised team to ensure timely project delivery
  • Keep up to date with the latest development software
  • Provide guidance to supervised team in all aspects of software development including code optimisation and troubleshooting and ensure they adhere to development standards
  • Ensure proper documentation
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by Verraki Technology Lead
