Job Description
We require a brilliant Senior Counsel to handle the following:

• Lead the provision of high level legal advice and analysis in various areas of commercial legal practice.
• Monitor emerging legal developments and key concerns relating to various areas of legal services.
• Keep abreast of changes in laws that affect client areas monitor work flow of junior counsels.
• In coordination with partners, take heed in growing the existing business with regard to volume, scope, quality and value of mandates.

Company Secretarial:

• Drafting and Review of Legal Documents:
• Supporting and co-operating
• Provide support to direct reports, to conduct meetings, negotiations and discussions on legal transactions, disputes, regulatory and compliance issues; understanding the issues involved and preparing detailed reports;
• Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies an
• Actively generate business for the Corporate Services team and jurisdiction from both new and existing clients by effective internal and external business development activities, and strive to develop the firm's brand in the market placed procedures.

Requirements

• First degree in Law
• Minimum of Second Class Upper Division
• At least 8 - 10 years post call to bar relevant experience
• Proven experience as a legal counsel in business environment
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive strategies.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
