Senior Contract & Procurement Specialist at Future Concerns Nigeria Limited

Role Description

• This is a contract role for a Senior Contract & Procurement Specialist, based on-site in Port Harcourt. The role involves managing procurement contracts and purchase orders, negotiating terms with suppliers, and ensuring full compliance with government procurement guidelines. The Specialist will also analyze market trends, supplier performance, and ensure cost efficiency while maintaining high product quality. Collaboration with safety and operations teams, as well as preparing reports on procurement metrics, is a key aspect of the daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master's / B.Sc. in Supply Chain, Law, or Eng.
• Develop and implement 5-year contract and procurement plans with Contract Owners/Holders.
• Manage demand forecasting, planning, budgeting tools, and supplier/contractor management techniques.
• Guide tendering, negotiation, and award of contracts for materials and services.
• Develop category strategies for critical sub-categories and implement third-party spend savings (TPSS) and value improvement (VI) initiatives.
• Leverage Shell Enterprise Frame Agreements (EFAs), market intelligence, and supply chain opportunities.
• Facilitate strong business partnering and contract optimization reviews to maximize post-award value.
• Drive continuous improvement and value erosion prevention across the supply chain.
• Articulate sourcing tactics based on risk assessment, cost drivers, market analysis, and Nigerian Content requirements.
• Support Contract Owners/Holders in contract scoping, specifications, contracting strategies, and counter estimates.
• Prepare Contract Development Requests for approval by committees such as CDMB, MTC, STC, CTC, and BoD.
• Initiate procurement transaction submissions (strategy, enquiry, and award) for approvals in line with DFA.
• Develop and issue contract documents, purchase orders, and agreements incorporating legal, HSE, technical, commercial, logistics, and Nigerian Content requirements.
• Liaise with legal and functional teams to resolve contractual issues.
• Undertake post-award contract management for critical contractors and services.
• Ensure smooth service delivery, operational excellence, and stable production operations.
• Communicate and interface regularly with key internal and external stakeholders across the supply chain.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and customer value delivery.
