Job Summary

The Senior Civil Enginer at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient co-operation and support across departments, executing inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Key Duties and Responbilities

• Plan and execute civil engineering jobs across departments.
• Design, carry out structural analyses and detailed plans by using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Planning, design and construction of internal roads and drainage systems.
• carry out vendor development and sourcing.
• Enforce zoning laws, environmental regulations and local building codes.
• Maintain daily maintenance logs and reports.
• Record equipment history and failure data.
• Update maintenance checklists and work orders.
• Suggest improvements for equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
• Implement best maintenance practices and new technologies.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
• Provide on-the-job training and skill development to team members.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of nine (9) years work experience as a Civil Engineer.
• Advanced proficiency in Civil Engineering design software, cost estimation and structural analysis .
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Leadership and team management ability.
• Excellent knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
