    Senior Business Analyst

    (Ref Code: NAC / AfCFTA / SBA)

    Job Summary

    The Business Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and evaluating policy, business and user needs to achieve readiness for a major government policy implementation program. He/she will also document requirements, define scope and objectives and estimate the work and cost of the readiness intervention programmes.

    Skills and Competencies Requirements

    • Impressive communication, negotiating, problem-solving, and critical thinking and facilitation skills.
    • Experienced critical thinker: able to evaluate multiple options before settling on a solution.
    • A good knowledge and use of project management related tools like project schedule software tool, risk management software, file management software, bug trafficking software etc. Basic tools like Microsoft word, power point and excel and others that might be needed.
    • Ability to manage projects, plan project scoops, direct staffs and supervise projects of all sizes.
    • Able to adapt fast in new environments, must be creative, pay attention to details and must be analytical in their thinking
    • Thorough understanding of program/project management principles, techniques and methods
    • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and ley metrics
    • Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
    • Excellent organization and leadership skills
    • Understanding of commercial and technical risk assessments

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (preferably in Social Science, Economics, or Statistics), Master’s degree preferred
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in this role preferably in a public sector program or management consulting
