Senior Backend Engineer (Go) at Kashia Limited

What you'll do

• Design and build backend services in Go, backed by PostgreSQL
• Own API design and documentation for services consumed by web and mobile clients
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance of existing systems
• Review code and mentor mid-level engineers on the team
• Work with product and design to scope and sequence delivery

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, at least 2 of them in Go
• Strong SQL and relational data modelling skills
• Experience running services in production on AWS or similar
• Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code basics
• Clear written communication — this is a fully remote, async-friendly team

Nice to have

• Payments, banking, or ledger system experience
• Exposure to event-driven architecture or message queues
• Open-source contributions
