Role Summary:  The  Senior  Backend  Developer  is  responsible  for  creating  and  improving  the  server,  server-side applications, and databases for internal and external clients and working according to clients’  briefs or SLAs 
Industry: Technology-Start-up 
Key Responsibilities: 

•  Compile  and  analyze  data,  processes,  and  codes  to  troubleshoot  problems  and  identify  areas  for  improvement.  
• Collaborate with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic  
• Perform complete testing of Backend applications unit and system test, engaging users as necessary  
• Effectively debug, understand, and resolve issues within your code. Build reusable code and libraries for  future use   
• Practical experience with Nodejs  
•  Translate  business  requirements  into  technical  requirements  and  solutions;    obtaining  system 
• requirements from internal and external customers through verbal  and written communications to identify 
• customer’s needs, requirements and issues,  conducting surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, 
• use cases,  scenarios, task and workflow analysis  
• When required, prepare presentations for prospective clients and or merchants. Deliver excellent client 
• service to all stakeholders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION 
Experience   

• Degree in related discipline, preferably - Computer Sciences  
•  5years+’  hands-on experience developing backend applications using edge cutting technologies 
• (examples of past work will be required)  
• Experience in client facing situations or roles 
• Experience in development of applications for financial services. 
• Experience in complex business notes with buyers for the financial industry. 

Skills &Qualifications   

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Understanding of common git-based development workflows and code management  
• Good understanding of cross-browser support, responsive design, mobile web, web performance  
• Desire to take responsibility to deliver good quality software in a timely manner. Fast learner, with an 
• interest and curiosity in new technologies  
• Knowledge of computer systems and related software 
• Critical Thinking and self-motivation  
• Creative and innovative 

Key Competencies

SALARY RANGE- 400,000 – 600,000
