    Senior Analyst (Strategy)

    • Chocolate City is a leading entertainment and media company with a dynamic presence in music, Entertainment, and creative storytelling. We are expanding our team and seeking a Senior Analyst (Strategy) with a strong finance background or financial analysis experience. The ideal candidate is expected to act as a trusted advisor to the business, helping drive the company's growth and competitive positioning by combining data analysis with strategic thinking, and versatility. They will be responsible for managing group-wide projects while also supporting Bean Creative Agency, the Music Team, and our subsidiaries.

    Responsibilities

    Strategy & Research Analysis

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and business opportunities.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities.
    • Develop strategic presentations, decks, and proposals for internal and external (business) partners and stakeholders.
    • Translate research insights into compelling strategic narratives and recommendations.
    • Work closely with leadership to support business expansion and investment strategies.
    • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships and acquisition targets
    • Collaborate with different teams to ensure alignment of corporate goals and creative initiatives with company strategy.

    Financial & Data Analysis

    • Analyze financial data and non-financial metrics to extract key insights that drive strategic decision-making, functional and departmental level planning.
    • Support the development of financial models to support effective outcome focused allocation of budgets and spend in key areas such as marketing.
    • Use financial analysis to support proposals, strategy documents, and business cases.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in financial reports to inform business strategy.
    • Create data-driven narratives that enhance presentations and stakeholder communications.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate financial insights into broader strategic initiatives.

    Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Support group-wide strategic projects while attending to requests from Bean Creative Agency, the Music Team and our subsidiaries.
    • Provide strategic insights to drive business growth, creative initiatives, and financial sustainability.
    • Work closely with the different teams to integrate data-driven storytelling into business proposals.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and financial institutions.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Ensure Executives and Board members stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and enhance business strategies.
    • Recommend process improvements to streamline strategy development and execution.
    • Manage complex data and provide insights with precision.

    Qualifications

    • 4-6 years of experience in strategy, financial analysis, or business consulting.
    • Strong background in finance, business strategy, and data analytics.
    • Strong understanding of the African media and entertainment landscape
    • Proficiency in financial modeling, market research, and business storytelling.
    • Ability to create high-quality presentations, reports, and proposals.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic and analytical mindset.
    • Strong project management skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
    • Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience working in media, entertainment, or creative industries is a plus.
