Senior Actuarial Analyst at Prudential Zenith Life Insurance

• Develop and analyze actuarial models
• Design new product development proposals and potential value to both customers and the Company and coordinate the approval and documentation
• Support new product development and alteration/revision to existing products.
• Monitoring and tracking performance Of existing policies to actualize trends (investigations & reporting) for future reviews and corrective rnechanisms when necessary.
• Reinsurance review and optimization
• Conduct periodic actuarial valuation in compliance with both IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
• Perform periodic market reviews and competitor analysis, as part of product strategy and positioning.
• Regular reporting on the performance Of new and existing products
• Ad hoc actuarial tasks (e.g. partnering with the reporting team where necessary).

Qualifications:

• BSc Actuarial Science, or any other numerate disciplines.
• Minimum of 2:2 class of degree.
• Significant progress achieved with actuarialprofessional/certification exams

Expe rience:

• A minimum of 7 years cognate/hands-on experience (actuarial functions).
• Substantial actuarial expertise hands-on/cognate experience (product developnnent and related processes, etc)
• Appreciable knowledge of Nigeria Insurance landscape knowledge, specifically life insurance.

Skills & Competencies

• Extensive experience in product development, pricing. and profit testing.
• Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic Applications
• Reasonable knowledge Of the new insurance industry financial reporting standard, IFRS 17
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous and rnethodical approach.
• Effective communication & presentation (articulate) skills
• Excellent stakeholder management. with business
