Senior Accountant at Reddington Hospital

Job Summary:

• The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial controls. The role will support management with financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and decision-making while ensuring the organization’s financial operations are efficient and well controlled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and accounting records.
• Review financial transactions and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and other financial activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate audit activities and provide required financial information and documentation.
• Identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Strengthen financial controls and improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Support the preparation of statutory and regulatory financial reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial controls.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
