Senior Accountant at Brands Optimal Limited

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly qualified, experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage our financial operations. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations among others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, and cash flow.
• Manage, oversee, process (as appropriate), and act as backup for processing all of the following transactions: payroll, accounts payable, revenue and expense, fixed assets, cash, bank reconciliations, and allocations.
• Stay updated on all federal, state, and local financial legal requirements and advising management on needed actions.
• Ensure prompt filling of VAT, Pension remittance, PAYE, FIRS and all other statutory requirements.
• Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy, and provide guidance and analysis to executive and operational management to improve results.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or in related field.
• Professional certificate (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
