JOB SUMMARY

We are looking to hire an experienced security officer for our client, a reputable organization in the Oil and Gas sector. He will be responsible for the protection of company property, employees, and visitors, as well as policy formulation.

• Minimum Qualification: Degree
• Experience Level: Mid-level
• Experience Length: 3-4 years

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Ensuring adequate patrol and regular monitoring of activities on the company's premises, to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Conducting regular checks for security hazards, and immediately reporting potentially hazardous equipment to the relevant department.
• Investigation of security related incidents, within the company policies and the legal rights of the individual.
• Liaising with state security authorities to facilitate the investigation of incidents, which require external intervention.
• Formulation of policy to enhance the organization’s security system.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Providing detailed reports on security breaches and proffering solutions.
• Testing security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectors.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner.
• Training of security personnel in line with best practice.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in any course
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the military, police force or related role
• Certifications in security are an added advantage
• Knowledge of current trends in security; technology and training
• Temperate disposition with the ability to calm down others
• Confidentiality, ability to handle sensitive information discretely
• Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and coordinate others
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• High ethical standards
