Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, trustworthy, and alert Security & Access Control Officer to maintain the safety and security of our farm/company premises.

The officer will be responsible for controlling access to the premises, monitoring staff and visitors, maintaining security records, conducting routine checks, and caring for the company’s security dogs.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control entry and exit through the premises.
• Record staff clock-in and clock-out times accurately.
• Register and monitor visitors entering and leaving the premises.
• Verify visitors before granting access.
• Monitor vehicles, deliveries, and items entering or leaving the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols and security checks around the premises.
• Monitor for theft, trespassing, suspicious activities, or security risks.
• Maintain the security/visitor logbook and report incidents to management.
• Ensure company property does not leave the premises without authorization.
• Feed, provide water for, and maintain the cleanliness of the security dogs and their kennel area.
• Monitor the dogs and report any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behaviour.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure gate/security post.
• Follow all company security procedures and instructions.

Requirements

• Previous security or gatekeeping experience is an advantage.
• Must be trustworthy, punctual, disciplined, and physically fit.
• Must be able to read and write basic English.
• Must be comfortable working around dogs.
• Must be willing to live on the premises.
• Accommodation will be provided.
