Security Officer at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Summary

• We are seeking three disciplined, vigilant, and experienced Security Officers to provide effective security coverage at the Managing Director’s (MD) Residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for protecting lives and property, conducting routine security checks, monitoring access to the residence, and ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.
• Preference will be given to ex-servicemen with relevant corporate or residential security experience, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain effective security coverage at the MD Residence during assigned day or night shifts.
• Conduct routine security patrols and checks around the residence and its immediate surroundings.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying visitors, contractors, and other authorized persons.
• Maintain accurate records of visitors, vehicle movements, security incidents, and shift handovers.
• Identify, assess, and promptly report suspicious activities, security breaches, and potential threats.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents.
• Enforce established security procedures and access-control protocols.
• Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of the MD, family members, visitors, and other occupants.
• Liaise with the Group Head of Security and relevant security agencies when necessary.
• Ensure that security equipment, gates, surveillance systems, and other security installations are properly monitored.
• Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the Group Head of Security.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous military, paramilitary, police, or other relevant security service experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant security experience, preferably in corporate, executive, VIP, or high-profile residential security.
• Must not be more than 45 years of age.
• Demonstrable knowledge of security procedures, access control, surveillance, and emergency response.
• Good observation, communication, and incident-reporting skills.
• High level of integrity, discipline, alertness, discretion, and professionalism.
• Physically fit, medically capable of performing assigned security duties, and able to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of remaining calm under pressure.
• Relevant security training or certifications will be an added advantage.
• Must be willing to work at the MD Residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
