    Security Investigator

    Duties

    • The incumbent serves as one of three Open-Source Intelligence Security Analysts embedded within the Security Operations Center.
    • The Security Analysts specialize in criminal and terrorist threat analysis against any Department of State equity in Nigeria.
    • The primary purpose of this position is to provide expert guidance and support to the Regional Security Office (RSO) with regard to compound security, official travel, and protective operations. 
    • The incumbent provides technical and analytical support to RSO personnel by researching, compiling, and interpreting data pertaining to various security issues in both Abuja and in other parts of Nigeria.
    • The incumbent must be able to orally brief embassy officials, to include senior American staff.
    • The incumbent works on a rotational shift schedule with three other analysts that includes weekends and holidays.

    Requirements

    • University degree in Political Science, Criminology, Statistics, Cultural/Religious Studies, or Computer Science is required.
    • Experience: Minimum three (3) years professional work experience related to journalism, security administration, politics, or statistics is required.
    •  Good Working Knowledge speaking/reading/writing of English language is required. Working level (ability to translate) in pidgin and one other native Nigerian language is required.
