Security & Investigation Officer at GIG Logistics

Key Responsibilities:

Security Management:

• Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard company assets, facilities, and personnel.
• Conduct routine security patrols and inspections of warehouses, transit hubs, and office premises.
• Monitor and manage access control to prevent unauthorised entry into company facilities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and security service providers when necessary.

Investigations & Incident Reporting:

• Conduct investigations into security breaches, theft, fraud, or any suspicious activities.
• Gather and analyse evidence, interview witnesses, and compile comprehensive reports on findings.
• Recommend corrective actions based on investigation outcomes.
• Maintain a detailed incident log and ensure proper documentation of security breaches.

Risk Assessment & Loss Prevention:

• Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities in logistics operations.
• Develop and implement measures to prevent losses related to theft, fraud, and vandalism.
• Conduct background checks and screenings of employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry security regulations.

Surveillance & Monitoring:

• Oversee the use of CCTV surveillance systems and other security technology to monitor activities.
• Respond to security alerts and investigate any irregularities in warehouse and transport operations.
• Coordinate security operations during high-risk shipments and deliveries.

Training & Compliance:

• Train employees on security policies, emergency response procedures, and loss prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company security protocols and government regulations.
• Organise security awareness programs for staff and logistics personnel.
