    School Engagement and Product Usage Associate

    Job Summary

    • The School Engagement and Product Usage associate will be responsible for maximizing the correct and consistent use of Impact Water’s safe drinking water treatment solutions by its partner schools.
    • The position achieves this by assisting the department in continuously studying usage barriers and then addressing and overcoming them by creating and implementing evidence-based marketing (education and behaviour change-focused) campaigns as well as product design improvements.
    • The SEPU Associate - Nigeria will be motivated by a passion for Impact Water’s mission and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
    • This role requires an individual who can balance strong attention to detail, along with managing relationships with senior management, Field Coordinators, and Field Agents of Impact Water. In addition, s/he should be an agent for change and aspire to make a difference in children’s lives by making the human right to safe water a reality for them, right here in Nigeria.

    Responsibilities
    School Engagement:

    • Assist in the design and implementation of Impact Water Nigeria strategy for digital and traditional outreach to schools and other partner institutions
    • Consistent and continual work with Impact Water Nigeria team to evaluate and improve the SEPU strategy for enhancing product usage across schools (one of three aims of SEPU department at Impact Water) o Conduct monitoring and evaluation of SEPU, through running reports on Salesforce to understand the effectiveness of tactics in the field used by Field Agents
    • Conduct regular visits to schools to gain insights on how to enhance the culture of drinking safe treated water by learners in schools
    • Research and implement innovative tools and technologies for effective outreach o Effective segmentation strategies for engaging primary and secondary school students
    • Become a thought team player in generating behaviour-change communication materials o Disseminating information on adopting healthy behaviours for school-aged children
    • Train field agents on school engagement tactics, building their knowledge and confidence on how to promote the importance of safe drinking water to students and teachers.
    • Collaborate with Impact Water Nigeria team to integrate behaviour change communication into resupply visits for schools with automatic chlorine dispensers
    • Participate in local, regional, and national school events to network and represent the company.
    • Represent Impact Water at meetings with LGA education officials.
    • Contribute to nurturing key partnerships by engaging with school associations, and ministry of education at state and county levels through routine outreach activities.
    • Supervise team making incoming and make outgoing calls to schools to enhance correct and consistent Impact Water product usage.

    Product Usage:

    • Contribute to designing surveys and other mechanisms to evaluate product usage at schools across Nigeria.
    • Contribute to the design of learners' engagement materials to correct and consistent product.
    • Contribute to the documentation of best practices for enhancing drinking safe, treated water culture by learners across the country

    Requirements

    • Degree in Public Health, Public relations or any of the Social Sciences.
    • Must be able to travel 40% of the time to visit schools across Nigeria.
    • Experience in product research and design, commercial and/or social marketing, and behaviour change communications is desirable.
    • Experience working with schools is a plus.
    • Excellent knowledge of digital and traditional outreach methods.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Knowledge of apps like Salesforce, Taroworks, and ODK is a plus.
    • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
    • Can manage 5-10 people effectively.
    • Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask.
    • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results-oriented.
    • Ability to pay attention to details.
    • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive.
    • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and consultants/field agents.
    • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as a strategiac thinker
