Position Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and empathetic School Counselor to support the social, emotional, and academic well-being of our students. As a School Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive school environment, providing guidance, and assisting students in overcoming personal and educational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counselling to students to address various issues, including academic, social, and emotional concerns.
• Organize and facilitate group counselling sessions and workshops on topics such as study skills, conflict resolution, and career planning.
• Assess students' needs and develop personalized intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' overall well-being.
• Assist in crisis intervention and provide a safe space for students to express their feelings and concerns.
• Promote a positive school climate by implementing anti-bullying and anti-discrimination initiatives.
• Stay updated on best practices in counselling and adolescent development.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in counselling practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Guidance and Counselling, School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• State certification or licensure as a school counselor is an added advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a deep commitment to helping students succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to school counselling.
• Experience in counselling students in an educational setting is an asset.
• Youcaring and experienced School Counselor who is ready to make a positive impact on the lives of students and support their personal and academic growth.
