Job description

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance analyses.
• Oversee and process monthly payroll, statutory deductions, pensions, and remittances.
• Use Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements, nested formulas, dashboards) for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable, school fees, vendor payments, and petty cash.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax, and audit standards.
• Collaborate with the Head of School and Admin team to support strategic planning and operational efficiency

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; ACA/ACCA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a school or service-oriented environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (tested at interview stage).
• Sound knowledge of payroll systems and relevant Nigerian tax regulations (PAYE, Pensions, NHF).
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
• Familiarity with school accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or bespoke ERP systems) is a plus.
