School Accountant / Bursar at FasTrack Schools

We are seeking a competent and trustworthy School Accountant / Bursar who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the school’s administrative goals, to oversee our school’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all school financial transactions, including fees, payments, and expenses
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and reports
• Handle cash flow management, budgeting, and reconciliation
• Process staff salaries, benefits, and statutory remittances (PAYE, pensions, etc.)
• Monitor school income and expenditure to ensure financial efficiency
• Liaise with auditors, banks, vendors, and parents on payment-related issues
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and school financial policies
• Advise management on financial planning and cost control

Requirements:

• Minimum of HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (ICAN/ANAN) or progress toward certification is an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role (school experience preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting software (Excel)
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
