    Sales Team Leader

    Job Purpose

    • Opportunity exists for a Sales Team Leader in our Sales Team. The Sales Team Leader will implement and execute the team sales plan in trade.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implement team’s Sales Plan 
    • General Fridge Management - placement & asset verification 
    • Execute draught plan / listing underperformers & removal of underperformers 
    • Execute Team's BTL plan within guidelines provided by the Manager 
    • Promotional planning & Implementation monitoring 
    • Execute Team's Signage plan within guidelines provided by the Manager 
    • Execute Team's FBO plan within guidelines provided by the Manager 
    • Conducting of In Trade Audits: Weekly (measuring team's impact in the trade) 
    • Action the Pricing Strategy Action items as highlighted by SM & District Analyst 
    • TL Executing KA promotional plans in Trade - liaising with KA department Give timeous feedback regarding  competitor activity & execute plans set forth from the Manager
    • Drive to exceed quotas within assigned territory while supporting overall strategic growth objectives and  budgets
    • Prepare action plans and schedule to identify specific targets and to project number of contacts to be made  within a defined region and against agreed orders targets; follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from  field activity. 
    • Identify sales prospects and contacts these and other accounts as assigned.
    • Develop new and incremental contract business 
    • Persuade customers to stock products
    • Co-ordinate shipping schedules and delivery of products
    • Ensure products/brands are available widely in assigned sales area
    • Develop and supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion  programmes
    • Prepare for and attend exhibitions, regional, and national promotional opportunities.
    • Develop and update knowledge of Company's and competitors' products and speak with other sales and  marketing personnel to work out the best methods of promoting products
    • Utilize competitive information and marketplace data where appropriate to close orders.
    • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals; reports on  special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity. 
    • Maintain sales records and up to date activity on progress to provide accurate forecasting reports.

    • Personal training needs identified and discussed with brewing Manager
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience

    •  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Administration or related field
    •  Minimum of 3 years sales experience working within the FMCG environment
    • Valid driving license.

    Key Competencies and Attributes:

    • Exposure to information management platforms is required 
    • Basic knowledge of PC Endurance and ability to tolerate extraordinary and flexible working hours.
    • Willingness to work during weekends No alcohol related health problems (e.g. alcoholism or liver cirrhosis)
    • Leadership and people management
    • Ability to apply self-management practices. 
    • Good Sales Administration.
    • Ability to manage budget allocation
    • Ability to give feedback to Management and colleagues on relevant Sales issues
    • Ability to prioritise and organise sales activities.
    • Persuasiveness and selling ability.
    • Verbal ability and communication skills. Sound interpersonal skills, creativity and ability to mix with other people.
    • Ability to manage self and territory.
    • Strong achievement orientation.

    Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

    • Working hours can be long and irregular and may include evening work.
    • May spend a lot of time traveling from one location to another.
