    Sales Manager

    Job Summary:

    The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management, particularly within the FMCG, Retail, or Banking sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of sales processes. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets .
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
    • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
    • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
    • Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, investors, and stakeholders.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
    • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients and market opportunities.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve sales strategies.
    • Develop and implement efficient sales processes and procedures.
    • Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and manage client data.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Attend industry events and networking functions to expand business connections.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential referral partners.

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Admin, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years of proven sales management experience in FMCG, Retail, or Banking sectors.
    • Must reside within the Festac - Iyanaba axis, Lagos.
    • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong professional acumen and business intelligence.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • A valid driver's license is a plus.
