Safety Officer

A construction company is looking to hire two Safety Officers. The Safety Officers will be responsible for facilitating compliance with occupational safety guidelines on site.

Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos and Kaduna

Job description
- Ensure workers practice safe working techniques
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards
- Recommend appropriate protective equipment workers should wear while carrying out their tasks
- Carryout toolbox meeting, pep talk and induction
- Conduct assessment of possible risks and ensure preventive measures are taken
- Prepare report on occurences and provide statistical information
- Ensure adherence with safety rules and regulation
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify non conformity
Job requirements
- Experience in construction safety is a mandatory
- Must possess indepth knowledge of procedures
- Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous practices
- Minimum ISPON Leevel 3
