Risk Manager at Halla Gaming Company Ltd

The Role

• As Risk Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of fraud detection, odds abuse prevention and operational risk analysis.
• You’ll work closely with our compliance and product teams to build smart controls and respond to risk signals in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze betting activity to identify suspicious patterns or fraudulent behavior.
• Implement risk controls, betting limits, and loss prevention strategies.
• Investigate suspicious accounts or transactions and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with tech teams to design and improve automated risk monitoring tools.
• Create regular reports on risk exposure, fraud trends and operational vulnerabilities.
• Stay ahead of regulatory requirements and best practices in the Nigerian betting industry.
• Build and maintain risk awareness among staff through training and policy updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in risk management, trading, compliance or fraud detection preferably in sports betting, gaming or fintech.
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, SQL and data visualization tools (Python is a plus).
• Deep understanding of betting markets and common manipulation tactics.
• High integrity, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory standards is an advantage.
