This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos for a Revenue Assurance & Interconnect Manager. The manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue streams, monitoring interconnect agreements, improving business processes, and implementing revenue assurance strategies. Daily tasks include analyzing financial data, verifying revenue recognition, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Description:
Develop comprehensive revenue assurance and fraud prevention policies and procedures;
Recommend and implement fraud prevention systems and process enhancements;
Perform reconciliation of revenue streams, call data records, billing traffic to ensure their integrity;
Provide leadership, direction in protection of assets to avoid financial loss and prevention of fraud throughout the company;
Investigate customer complaints and recommend actions to be taken;
Liaise with all other departments and other finance teams to design, develop and implement best practices to assess, manage and prevent fraud;
Document revenue flows and monitor the same;
Develop business continuity planning approach, design tools and processes to minimize business interruption and revenue loss due to disasters, sabotage and, network crashes and downtime;
Update and maintain international rates table.
Monitor and analyze international traffic routing to ensure Least Cost Routing is regularly applied;
Monitor and block unauthorized airtime transfers, and unauthorized call routing/refiling;
Continuously work to understand and mitigate revenue loss to ensure high levels of loss avoidance;
Analyze and sign-off on commission payments to assess the integrity thereof and compliance with business rules;
Monitor potential revenue leakages and inflated cost exposures inherent in interconnect trading environments;
Test changes made to revenue generating software platforms to ensure potential revenue leakage exposures are addressed before operational deployment;
Perform any other ad hoc duties as may be assigned by the Chief Finance Officer or any other person appointed by the company for this purpose.
Qualifications
Revenue Assurance and Revenue Recognition skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or any related field Master’s Degree in Finance or any related field
Minimum of 8 Years work experience
At least 5 years hands-on experience in Telecommunications industry
Sound project management skills
Logical and analytical skills
Interpersonal/communications skills
Essential Desirable Articulate and well-coordinated Leadership traits
Business Process Improvement and Analytical skills
Finance expertise
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work on-site in Lagos
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus
