Turing.com is looking for a Principal Data Scientist on behalf of an industry-leading company scaling intelligence-driven cybersecurity. The candidate will join the security research and machine learning team and work closely with the threat researchers and security engineers to implement customer-facing data products, visualizations, and analytics. Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the threat researchers and security engineers to deliver scalable solutions 

• Implement customer-facing data products, visualizations, and analytics

• Brainstorm new data analytic techniques to identify security-related issues in mountains of data

• Apply advanced machine learning and statistical methods to solve threats and user behavior analytic problems

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a data scientist

• A passion for actionable data analysis and exploration

• Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R) and distributed computing framework (Spark) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

• Experience in applying a wide variety of ML techniques and an intuition for the strengths and weaknesses of each at turning big data into actionable insights

• Experience with machine learning and deep learning to model the behavior of users on corporate networks, and highlights anonymous behavior to avoid a cyberattack

• Great problem solver and a quick learner

• Ability to frame a problem through ill-defined requirements, identify and incorporate each piece of relevant data, plan and execute a path to the solution, and validate your results

• Great communication skills with the ability to make informative graphs to showcase performance

• Possesses a collaborative approach to data analysis, with the desire to share information, ideas, and an ability to see the big picture

• A deep understanding of computer systems, networks, protocols, and information security concepts is a plus

• A background in applied statistics, optimization theory, or operations research is nice to have

• Comprehensive understanding of Linux, big data, and networking in modern, heterogeneous environments

• Passionate about making the results of analysis intuitive and interactive
