Educational Background:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Special Education, or a related field. Certifications relevant to math or specific learning differences are desirable.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in tutoring or teaching, with significant experience specific to teaching math.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and challenges.

Subject Matter Expertise:

• Applicants must have strong knowledge in teaching math at elementary and secondary grade levels — and consider themselves an expert in that area.
• Candidates are also encouraged to specify their preferred grade levels for tutoring, ensuring a match with their comfort and expertise.

Language Proficiency & Communication Skills:

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English, tailored to communicate effectively with students including the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to student needs.

Personal Qualities:

• Patience and empathy, with a focus on encouraging and supporting students through their learning journey.
• Resourcefulness in problem-solving and adapting teaching methods to each student's unique needs.

Technical Proficiency:

• Competent with digital communication tools and online tutoring platforms.

Schedule:

Student contact hours primarily:

• Mondays - Friday 3:00 - 7:00 PM (USA Eastern Time Zone)
• Saturdays 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (USA Eastern Time Zone)

Office hours:

• Mondays - Friday 12:00 PM noon - 3:00 PM (USA Eastern Time Zone)

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide professional references.

Compensation:

• Range between 200,000 - 300,000 NGN per month, with potential PERFORMANCE-BASED BONUSES.
