Turing.com is looking to hire a Back-end Engineer on behalf of an early-stage, AI research company building human-level general machine intelligence. The engineer will be responsible for various project tasks, including infrastructure, visualizations, open-source projects, and building the research tool. The company is backed by top investors such as Y Combinator and researchers from OpenAI, Lightspeed, Threshold, etc. The selected candidate will join the talented team and contribute to developing scalable systems to support research. The role requires a time overlap with PST.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on a wide variety of tasks ranging from infrastructure and code clean up to open source and machine learning

• Build high-quality software while following software engineering best practices

• Provide support as needed, in the quickest and most stable manner possible

• Adhere to work intake, prioritization, change management, architecture

• Contribute to developing robust and well-engineered systems

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• Proficient with Python and PyTorch

• Fluency in English

• Proficiency in software development tools and techniques that adhere to best practices

• Exhibit strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, schedule, and meet deadlines on time
