    Reliability Engineer

    Job Roles/Responsibilities:

    Reliability Analysis:

    • Conduct reliability assessments and analyses on equipment and systems to identify potential failures and develop strategies to improve reliability.
    • Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) techniques to optimize maintenance strategies and increase equipment uptime.

    Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Gather and analyze data related to equipment performance, failures, and maintenance history to identify patterns and trends.
    • Work closely with data analysts to develop predictive maintenance models.

    Equipment Health Monitoring:

    • Implement condition monitoring programs to assess the health of critical equipment and provide early warnings for potential issues.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to integrate predictive maintenance technologies.

    Root Cause Analysis:

    • Conduct root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address systemic reliability issues.

    Reliability Improvement Projects:

    • Initiate and lead reliability improvement projects to enhance the overall reliability and performance of assets.
    • Evaluate and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing systems for improved reliability.

    Life Cycle Cost Analysis:

    • Perform life cycle cost analyses to determine the most cost-effective maintenance strategies for critical equipment.
    • Provide recommendations for equipment replacements, upgrades, or refurbishments based on economic considerations.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of reliability analyses, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
    • Prepare and present reliability reports to project management and stakeholders.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with project engineers, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to implement and communicate reliability initiatives.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance the understanding of reliability principles among project teams.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Reliability Engineering is a plus.

    Certifications:

    • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification, or a professional certification in reliability engineering (CMRP, CRMT) is highly desirable.
    • Relevant certifications in predictive maintenance technologies would be beneficial.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in the context of maintenance, installation construction, and crude refining projects.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in reliability analysis tools and software.
    • Strong understanding of predictive maintenance technologies and methodologies.

    Communication Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to convey complex reliability concepts to a diverse audience. 6. Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing reliability issues.

    Project Management:

    • Experience in managing reliability improvement projects, including budgeting and scheduling.

    Industry Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with maintenance practices in construction, installation, and crude refining projects.

    Adaptability:

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
