    Reliability Engineer

    JOB PURPOSE

    • To improve production sustainability by identifying and resolving reliability and mechanical integrity constraints affecting oil and gas production facilities, ensuring optimal asset performance and availability.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    Reliability Assessment & Baseline Study

    • Assess facility reliability issues impacting production performance.
    • Identify equipment and system-related constraints affecting availability.
    • Analyze historical maintenance and failure data.

    Mechanical Integrity & Asset Performance

    • Evaluate integrity of pipelines, flowlines, and production equipment.
    • Identify corrosion-related derating and integrity risks.
    • Support integrity management strategies for critical assets.

    Failure Analysis & Improvement

    • Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for critical equipment failures.
    • Identify recurring reliability issues and propose corrective actions.
    • Develop strategies to improve equipment uptime and performance.

    Production Optimization Support

    • Collaborate with process engineers to identify reliability-driven bottlenecks.
    • Support debottlenecking initiatives by addressing mechanical constraints.
    • Improve reliability of compressors, pumps, and rotating equipment.

    Engineering Input & Deliverables

    • Provide input to engineering design solutions for selected opportunities.
    • Develop equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical evaluations.
    • Support development of mechanical and rotating equipment deliverables.

    Field Inspections & Site Support

    • Participate in site visits to assess equipment condition and performance.
    • Provide recommendations based on field observations.
    • Contribute to site visit reports and feasibility assessments.

    Risk Management & Compliance

    • Identify risks related to equipment failure and integrity issues.
    • Ensure compliance with API, ASME, and company standards.
    • Support HAZOP, HAZAN, and safety reviews.

    Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    • Document reliability issues and improvement opportunities.
    • Contribute to opportunity register and prioritization.
    • Support performance tracking and reporting activities.

    Educational Qualifications, Experience & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
    • Minimum of 5–10 years in reliability or mechanical integrity engineering
    • Experience in oil & gas production facilities Certifications (Advantage)
    • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
    • API certifications (API 510, 570, 653)
    • COREN registration
