    Relationship Officer

    About the job

    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for business growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to strategies aimed at acquiring and retaining customer accounts by efficiently managing their requests through the appropriate product channels.
    • Inform clients about new financial products, service offerings, and changes in investment legislation.
    • Responsible for developing and managing relationships with individuals and corporate institutions, both existing and new clients.
    • Promote and sell products to customers, maintain a comprehensive database of relationships and prospects, and recommend amendments to marketing strategies based on industry best practices.
    • Proactively determine customer needs and collaborate with relevant teams to meet those needs.
    • Strong knowledge of mutual funds, financial markets, and relevant legal, tax, and regulatory issues.
    • Gather market intelligence on product performance, client preferences, and new business opportunities.
    • Analyze the financial profiles of existing and potential clients and recommend suitable products based on their risk appetite.
    • Track client investments and provide regular suggestions to enhance portfolio performance.
    • Update Know Your Customer (KYC) checklists for clients and coordinating the transfer of details for closed deals to the operations unit.
    • Providing high-level personalized customer service, identifying new prospects, monitoring investment trends, leveraging industry networks for business development, and creating sales materials.
    • Create pitch books and briefing materials for sales meetings.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
    • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
    • Relevant Professional Certification
    • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in Financial Services Industry particularly in a Sales Role.
    • Strong entrepreneurial, excellent marketing, negotiating and relationship management skills.
