Reinsurance Analyst at Ark Insurance Group

Job Description:

• As a Reinsurance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analysing reinsurance transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory and other specified policy requirements.
• You will also assess insurers' risk levels by analysing the financial statements of our clients' policy underwriters.
• You will collaborate closely with our core analytical team to strengthen our portfolio through strategic advisory and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive reinsurance analysis, including maximum likelihood of loss estimates
• Conduct financial statement reviews.
• Evaluate the strength and quality of reinsurance protection of clients' and provide detailed advisory services.
• Ensure underwriters' compliance with regulatory and other policy requirements on all insurance and reinsurance activities.
• Perform ad-hoc reviews and report to management when required
• Collaborate with internal teams to conduct audits and risk self-assessments for business process improvements.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in reinsurance, finance, actuarial services, or related field.
• A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data management and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in reinsurance advisory and risk management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Professional qualifications such as (ARM), (ICAN), (CIIN) is an added advantage.
