    Registrar

    The Position

    • The Polytechnic librarian shall be responsible to the Rector for the provision of library services in the Polytechnic and its constituent Departments and Campuses.

    Qualifications / Experience
    Candidate applying for the position of the Polytechnic Librarian must possess the following:

    • Ph.D. in Library Science or Library and Information Science with fifteen (15) years cognate experience or MLS with fifteen (15) years cognate experience, five (5) of which should be in the Polytechnic and TVET sector.
    • Must registered member of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
    • Must provide evidence of scholarly publication in reputable journals, conference/seminar papers and books proceeding.
    • Must have spent at least three (3) years satisfactorily as a Deputy/Chief Librarian.
    • Must be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
    • Must enjoy excellent physical and mental health.

    Conditions of Service

    • The appointment for the post of Polytechnic Librarian will be for an initial period of four (4) years renewable for a second and final term of another four (4) years.
    • Salary of the Polytechnic librarian is CONTISS 15; and
    • Other fringe benefits as provided by the scheme of service.
