Registered Industrial Nurse at Proforce Limited

The Industrial Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of employees in the workplace. This role manages occupational health programs, responds to workplace injuries, conducts medical assessments, and supports safety compliance. The Industrial Nurse works closely with HR, Safety Officers, and management to ensure a healthy workforce and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Health & Medical Care

• Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment for workplace injuries or illnesses.
• Conduct routine health checks, medical screenings, and fitness-for-duty assessments.
• Maintain and update employees’ medical records in accordance with confidentiality and legal guidelines.
• Manage return-to-work programs and monitor recovery of injured employees.

Occupational Health Programs

• Implement and manage workplace health programs such as vaccination drives, health awareness campaigns, and wellness initiatives.
• Monitor employees’ exposure to occupational hazards (chemicals, noise, ergonomics, etc.).
• Conduct health risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.

Safety & Compliance

• Work with the HSE/Safety department to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Participate in safety audits, accident investigations, and hazard identification exercises.
• Support the implementation of safety policies, emergency response plans, and PPE compliance.

Training & Education

• Provide training on first aid, health practices, ergonomics, and workplace hygiene.
• Educate employees about occupational illnesses, injury prevention, and safe work habits.

Case Management & Reporting

• Document all medical incidents, injuries, and clinic visits.
• Prepare regular reports on health trends, incidents, and employee wellness.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers, hospitals, and insurance companies when necessary.

Health Facility Management

• Maintain the on-site clinic, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure proper infection control practices and waste disposal procedures.
• Develop medical procedures and protocols tailored to workplace needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent nursing qualification.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (preferred).
• 2–5+ years of nursing experience, ideally within industrial or occupational health environments.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, first aid standards, and emergency response procedures.
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
