The candidate should be capable of generating sales of agricultural equipment input through field agents for farmers and communities.
The successful candidate would play a key role in increasing the company’s revenue by managing the field agents, and farmers’ agricultural input demand and supply, to meet monthly quarterly, and annual targets.
Responsibilities
Agent Acquisition: Identify, recruit, onboard, and manage (monitoring and supervising the activities) Lead Agents (LAs) and Business Development Agents (BDAs) in Niger State.
Sales targets: Meet weekly, monthly, and annual commercial and corporate sales quotas through successfully implementing sales tactics and marketing strategies in the region of operation.
Market analysis: Conducting market analysis and identifying sales opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
Account management: Managing and expanding existing accounts, as well as acquiring new ones.
Lead generation: Generating leads and prospects, and following up on leads to convert them into customers.
Sales reports: Preparing and submitting accurate and timely sales reports to management.
Sales presentations: Delivering effective sales presentations to potential customers and stakeholders.
Market Intelligence: Gathering and reporting on market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
Customer support: Providing ongoing support to customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Product training: Staying knowledgeable about the company's products and services, and providing training to customers and stakeholders. Develop and implement territory action plans through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in agricultural economics, agricultural engineering agricultural science, business administration, management studies or related fields.
Prior sales experience (3 years and above) in agriculture-related businesses will be an advantage.
Detailed knowledge of the peculiarities, agricultural value chain, farm settlements and extensions in the precise locations.
Digital marketing and e-commerce knowledge: The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce trends, as well as experience with online sales channels and tools.
Customer relationship management (CRM): The Regional Sales Agent should be proficient in using CRM tools to manage customer data, analyze sales performance, and report results.
Data analysis and reporting: Look for candidates who have experience analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and presenting reports to management.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving: The ideal candidate should have the ability to identify and address complex sales problems, and develop creative solutions to achieve business goals.
Leadership and team management: A successful Regional Sales Agent will have experience leading a team and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Business development and negotiation: Experience identifying new business opportunities and negotiating favourable terms with customers and partners.
