Refinery Operator at Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group

Job Overview:

• Monitor and control the plant processes through computer and manual controls.
• Operate refining neutralisation, bleaching and deodorisation production process.
• Responsible for operating several process steps and has equipment for vacuum, pressure, distillation, heat exchanger, filtration and Centrifuge separation subject to process requirement and product quality. Utilise a computerised system to control most processes.
• Ensure proper line-up for unit production
• Safely collect samples to identify product quality issues proactively. Effectively communicate field conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Operate refinery process in a safe, efficient manner. Troubleshoot equipment and product to meet plant production standards.
• Ensure the plant is run on its rated production capacity on minimum losses and requires quality parameters.

Requirements:

• SSCE/ND or degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
• 2-4 years' experience as a refinery operator
• Knowledge of By-product processing such as acid oil and Lecithin
