    Job Summary

    • Support Marine Assurance, deck training, and operational improvements by utilizing simulator exercises. These exercises aid in incident investigations, vessel familiarization, procedure validation, risk assessments, and pre-operational planning for new projects or complex marine operations.

    Job Details

    • Develop and Enhance Crew Competence: Support the fleet in training, mentoring, and competency assessments for the crew, and to improve navigational safety, offshore operations, and operational performance. 
    • Act as the company's marine subject matter expert by providing guidance on navigational safety, vessel operations, incident investigations, risk assessments, client inspections (OVID, SUPO, PHI, OVMSA), and implementation of lessons learned to improve fleet performance. 
    • Ensure vessels are operated in accordance with the company’s Marina Assurance Procedure.
    • Support the Fleet Manager in OVID performance analysis and procedure review and development as required.
    • Support in annual Course Scheduling of all Deck Training (OOW & AB), including Induction training for new employees and refresher courses for existing Pilots and Officer of the Watch (OOW) as well as Able Seaman (AB) forming part as a navigational watch and nightwatchmen.
    • Conduct Marine Assurance and Vessel Assessments: Lead and support vessel inspections, assurance activities, and operational assessments to verify compliance, identify risks, drive corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement.
    • Integration of course feedback and course updates.

    Requirements

    • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Minimum Diploma Level).
    • Should ideally have obtained CoC as Master of a vessel STCW Reg II/1.
    • Minimum 5 – 10 Years’ Experience in the Maritime industry of which 5 should have been in seagoing positions.
