    Job Summary
    This role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical radiological services that support the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the hospital.  

    Key Result Areas (KRA)
    The key result areas of this role are:

    Clinical Service Delivery

    • Responsible for conventional radiological reporting and imaging modalities
    • Supervises the clinical staff and ensures proper record keeping. 
    • Responsible for examining and interpreting special radio-graphic investigations and procedures such as X-rays, CT, Ultrasonography, MRI, etc.
    • Provide expert advice to referring clinicians on the most appropriate diagnostic investigations.
    • Contributes immensely to quality patient care by participating in case planning with other members of the patient medical team. 
    • Provide advice and support to other radiology staff in the radiological process.
    • Ensure delivery of quality services & training in the department. 
    • Manage the administrative requirements of the hospital and patient care including ensuring discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence are completed with no delay. 
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures in reference to clinical practice. 

    Requirements

    • FMCR
    • MBBS Degree from a recognized institution 
    • Registration with the Medical & Dental Council
    • Licensed Radiologist certified by the West African College of Surgeons or the National Postgraduate Medical College.

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion
    • He/She must have a working knowledge of global quality assurance, clinical audit principles, and processes & must exhibit a commitment towards continuous quality improvement. 
    • Must be efficient in the use of current technical medical imaging
    • Familiarity with cultural and religious concerns of patients, and current legislation on patient rights.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years cognate experience.
    • Must show evidence of competence in the management of radiology cases and evidence of active participation in relevant research
