    Quality Manager - Central Quality

    Reporting Line: Chief Quality Officer

    Job Description

    • The QA Manager- Central Quality coordinates implementation of QA programmes for effective controls of quality of input materials as well as quality and food safety compliance of finished goods to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities
    Planning and Analyses:

    • Establish product quality assurance plan (QAP) working closely with the Chief Quality Officer
    • Liaise with BU QA Managers to coordinate setting of Key Performance Indicators as well as training needs identification
    • QA budget and resource planning
    • Design and oversee implementation of GMP training calendar for BU’s based on training needs identified
    • Effectively administer QA GMP processes using a variety of tools such as Statistical analysis
    • Prepare and communicate periodic MIS for QA group wide with clear report of key performance metrics

    Control and Coordination:

    • Centrally coordinate implementation of QA programmes
    • Coordinate CAPA programme
    • Liaise with BU QA Managers for process controls and deviation management
    • Review quality parameters for accepting vendors’ supplies
    • Review cold room standards
    • Review standards of good warehouse practice and inventory control
    • Coordinate periodic performance reviews for Quality departments for all BU’s

    Sales and Trade Support etc. :

    • Coordinate customer surveys and feedback in conjunction with Sales teams
    • Conduct product age analysis
    • External testing of raw and packaging materials
    • Conduct product stability study
    • Supervise product quality issues in close coordination with sales teams
    • Conduct periodic market sample study programmes

    Requirements

    • B. Tech in Food Tech / B.Sc. Science / B.Sc. Microbiology with Packaging Technology as additionalqualification.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in food manufacturing industry with thorough process understanding
    • Mastery of QA, QC, GMP and food safety requirements
    • Skilled in quality and food safety systems
    • Hands on experience in food and packaging material analyses and highly skilled in laboratory analytical techniques
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Experience of handling team(s) of quality control/ laboratory analysts
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Personal effectiveness
    • Influencing skills
