Quality Control Officer (Laudry Business) at Elvaridah

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Officer to oversee garment handling and ensure all laundry processes meet the company’s quality and hygiene standards.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting washed and ironed items, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect garments before and after washing/ironing to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitor the cleaning process to prevent damage, discoloration, shrinkage, or loss of items.
• Identify fabric types and recommend appropriate handling procedures for delicate or high-value items.
• Ensure all garments are properly tagged, recorded, and accounted for throughout the laundry cycle.
• Maintain a comprehensive quality control checklist for daily operations.
• Work closely with washmen, pressers, and packaging staff to ensure compliance with quality expectations.
• Investigate customer complaints related to damaged, missing, or mishandled items and provide reports with solutions.
• Track recurring quality issues and recommend training or process improvements.
• Conduct spot checks on laundry equipment and recommend maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Enforce hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards across laundry stations.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification (Degree in Textile Technology or related field is an advantage).
• 2+ years experience in quality control, preferably in a laundry, hospitality, or garment care setting.
• Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment care labels, and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects or irregularities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operations is a plus.
